Lillian Theresa Makinson, 93, Paramus Resident PARAMUS, N.J. -- Lillian Theresa Makinson of Paramus, died on Sunday, Jan. 22. She was 93. Makinson was born in Long Island and spent her first few decades there. She was a civilian employee at Mitchell Air Force Base for 12 years, then worked for both Long Island Lighting Company and Sperry-Rand Corporation, until she retired to raise her family.  "She greatly enjoyed gardening, and sewing, having made most of her own clothes," the funeral home noted.
