Eversource Plans Extensive Tree-Trimming Work In Wilton FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Energy supplier Eversource will invest $75 million in tree trimming in Connecticut over the next year, with significant work expected to occur in Wilton, Stamford and Ridgefield. Workers will trim trees along 4,200 miles of electric lines around the state in 138 communities. Those include 132 miles of trimming to be done in Wilton and 111 miles of trimming to be done in Stamford. Pruning will also be completed at several locations already started in Ridgefield. Juvenile Arrested In Connection With Darien Stolen Vehicle DARIEN, Conn. -- Stamford police arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a vehicle stolen from a Darien home on Feb. 15, according to a story in the Darien Times.Police recovered the vehicle on Feb. 18 after a motor vehicle accident. The Land Rover was reported stolen by a Wilson Ridge resident. The owner left the vehicle unlocked with the keys in the car, police said. The owner was unaware of the theft until the following day.
