Friends Rally To Help Bridgeport Woman After Her Son Suffers Rare Aneurysm BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Maria Nolan of Bridgeport devotes her life to helping suffering children worldwide through her job at Save the Children in Fairfield. But Nolan's own child is now suffering due to complications from a rare brain aneurysm. And her friend Michelle Gruner of Trumbull is asking the public to help Maria in her time of need. Nolan's son Patrick, who is 21 and has Down syndrome, is in the intensive care unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Teen Charged With Targeting Elderly In Construction Scheme In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — A teenager from New Milford is accused of trying to scam elderly victims out of money after performing unauthorized construction work for them, Danbury police said Thursday. Sabino Cooper, 18, turned himself in to Danbury police on Tuesday, Dec. 13 on an active warrant. Cooper was charged with two counts each of second-degree larceny, failure to give cancellation notice and violation of the home improvement contract requirements.
