Blaze Breaks Out At Shopping Plaza In Westchester: Developing
Firefighters were seen battling a blaze at a shopping plaza in Westchester. The fire broke out on Monday afternoon, Nov. 18 at the Vernon Place Shops in the area of 717 White Plains Rd. near the border of Eastchester and Scarsdale, according to reports. A police department in Westchester is advising residents to be on high alert after a sex offender convicted of rape was found to be frequenting a public library in the county. In an announcement on Thursday, Nov. 14, the City of Rye Police Department detailed an encounter at the Rye Public Library reported by two teenagers.
