Crystal Smith, age 41, of Danbury, was arrested around 2:15 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31 in Newtown. According to Connecticut State Police, troopers responded to a report of a wrong-way driver colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer while driving westbound in the eastbound lane on I-84 in the area of exit 9, in the town of Newtown. A potent system sweeping through the Northeast will bring a wintry mix at times to parts of the region and rain and strong winds to the entire area.  Friday, Jan. 24 will be mostly sunny with a high temperature in the mid 40s. Overnight, the low temperature will fall to around 30 degrees north of I-287 in New York and the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut. Seven Westchester County Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops New York State Police troopers busted nearly two dozen local motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired in the area over the past week. The local residents charged were: Dutchess County On Friday, Jan. 11, State Police troopers from Rhinebeck arrested Gerard V. Ollis, 43, of Poughkeepsie, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Route 9 in Rhinebeck, when he was struck a mailbox and then left the scene.
