Sydney Towle, a New England-born TikToker who has been documenting her battle with a rare cancer for three years, has died. She was 26 years old.
Towle, who was raised in New Hampshire and graduated from Dartmouth, was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer, in 2023. The New York Times featured her story last year after she became the target of online critics who accused her of faking her diagnosis or using her illness for financial gain.

Three suspects, including two teenagers, are accused of violently assaulting a 20-year-old man during a birthday party in Dutchess County, leaving the victim with serious injuries, police said.
