The family of a Westchester County grandmother who died after falling into an open manhole in Midtown Manhattan has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Con Edison, according to reports.
The lawsuit, which stems from the death of Briarcliff Manor resident Donike Gocaj, 56, who was killed after plunging into an uncovered manhole near East 52nd Street and Fifth Avenue on Monday, May 18, was filed Thursday, July 16, in New York Supreme Court, the New York Post reported.
