Human Remains Found In Duffel Bag Outside Bank In Westchester
Police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a suspicious duffel bag outside a bank that had human remains inside. Members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to the Wells Fargo Bank on Odell Avenue shortly after noon on Monday, Nov. 19, where there was a report of a suspicious bag. Police said that upon arrival, members of the Emergency Service Unit found the bag on the west side of the building, near a dumpster. ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By BMW In Hartsdale
The woman killed late Friday afternoon after being struck by a BMW in Hartsdale has been identified. The crash occurred in front of Petco at 324 Central Ave. in Hartsdale between Dalewood Road and Battle Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said. Police officers came upon the unresponsive woman lying in the roadway of the northbound lane. Woman's Body Found Near Westchester Building
This story has been updated. Police are investigating after a woman's body was found on Friday morning near the former New Rochelle Naval Armory. Investigators have taped off the area near the Armory and East Main Street has been cordoned off. The woman was found lying in the driveway of 270 Main St. at about 7:40 a.m., according to the New Rochelle Police Department. The cause of death has not been released, nor has the woman's identity. Detectives are investigating the late-night discovery of the body of a 40-year-old man near the Old Croton Aqueduct in Westchester. A man who was murdered Thursday while loading a roll-off dumpster in Westchester has been identified. Timothy Conkling, a 36-year-old resident of Montrose, was shot about 10:51 a.m. Thursday in the area of 342 Ashburton Ave. in Yonkers, said Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.
