Two of the top 10 zip codes according to Property Shark Real Estate Reports are in New York, with both on Long Island, in the Hamptons:
No. 2 Sagaponack (zip code 11962) with a median home sale price in 2023 of $8,075,000,
No. 6 (tie) Water Mill (11976) with a median home sale price in 2023 of $4,500,000.

Woman, Age 27, Faces Multiple Charges After Fleeing Attempted Hudson Valley Stop, Police Say
A Connecticut woman is in trouble for leading authorities on a chase after they attempted to pull her over in Westchester County, police said.
On Monday, Nov. 28, around 8:45 a.m., police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Interstate 95 southbound in Rye for a traffic violation. After the vehicle failed to stop, a chase began, according to New York State Police.
The vehicle then eventually left I-95 at exit 18B in White Plains and briefly pulled over on the right shoulder before again driving off, police said.

A residence in Westchester County sold for more than $5 million after only four days on the market, along with two classic sports cars.
The home, located on a 2.6-acre property in Rye at 281 Kirby Ln., sold for $5,772,258, which was $1.37 million more than the original listing price of $4,399,500, according to Coldwell Banker Realty officials.

Hudson Valley Woman Who Was Highly-Regarded Educator, Musician Dies At Age 62
Maura Molloy’s life was defined by music.
Now, the Westchester County educator and musician’s loved ones must rely on the many video recordings of her performances if they hope to again experience her bright, angelic singing voice.
Molloy, of Rye, died at home Monday, Aug. 1, at the age of 62 following a “long and courageous battle with lung cancer,” according to her obituary.
“Gracing this world with her presence” on June 18, 1960, Molloy was the oldest of seven children born to Joan and Joseph Molloy, her memorial said.

Multiple agencies responded to a "hazmat incident" at a Costco in Westchester County.
Firefighters received a report of smoke in the Costco located in Port Chester at 1 Westchester Ave. at about 2:10 p.m. on Monday, June 20, according to the Port Chester Police Department.
Authorities determined that the smoke wasn't from a fire, but that there was a large freon leak on the second floor of the building, the fire department reported.

Retired Yankees pitcher and Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera has sold his longtime home in Westchester County.
Rivera and his wife, Clara, unloaded the 13,000 square-foot, nine-bedroom mansion, located in Rye, for $3.783 million, as was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.
