Hudson Valley Man Charged For Fatal Fentanyl Overdose
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the fentanyl overdose death of a Connecticut man.
Rockland County resident, Daniel McDonald, age 32, of New City, was charged on Monday, Jan. 23, following a five-month investigation in Fairfield County into the fentanyl death, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police.
On Monday, Aug. 29, Stamford officers responded to a Maple Street home for the report of a dead man, Scanlon said.

ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Hudson Valley Roadway
A pedestrian who was hit and killed crossing a busy Hudson Valley roadway has been identified by police.
Rockland County resident Patrick O'Neill, age 54, was killed around 8:20 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 23, on Route 303 in West Nyack.
According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police, O'Neill was found lying on the right shoulder of northbound Rt. 303, Peters said.

IDs Released For Driver Killed, Person Critically Injured In Area Crash
Police have identified the person killed during a single-vehicle crash that also severely injured another person.
Mark Savino, age 35, a lifelong resident of Congers, in Rockland County, was killed around 11:45 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24, when the vehicle he was in hit a utility pole, overturned, ejecting both occupants.
The crash took place in the area of Lake Road and Route 9W in Congers, Detective Norm Peters said of the Clarkstown Police.

Alleged Car Thief Rams Two Clarkstown Police Cars In Attempt To Escape, Police Say
A 62-year-old man allegedly driving a stolen truck rammed two police cars and then fled on foot when officers attempted to make a traffic stop.
Juan Colon, of Newark, New Jersey, was arrested around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, after Clarkstown Police officers on patrol attempted to stop a black Ford F-350 that had been reported stolen, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
When officers tried to make the stop in the area of Shorn Drive and Western Highway, Colon allegedly attempted to flee by ramming two Clarkstown Police vehicles, which had boxed him in, Peters said.
