Update: State Police Identify Victim In Suspected Newburgh Slaying New York State Police have identified the body found in a Quaker Street home in Newburgh.  William K. McMahon, 50, lived in the home on Quaker Street. He was last seen alive in April of 2017 and reported missing to the state police in June of 2017, Troopers said. State Police, along with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Orange County Medical Examiner and the Plattekill Fire Department led to the recovery of McMahon's remains.  It also led to the arrest of Christopher Smith, 43, of Wallkill. Man Pleads Not Guilty In Monroe Stabbing Case MONROE, N.Y. – A 32-year-old man pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a stabbing in the Village of Monroe last month, according to the Times Herald-Record.  Fredys Gutierrez-Zomora was charged with first and second-degree assault as well as criminal possession of a weapon all stemming from an alleged altercation that left a 21-year-old with a punctured lung on Sept. 21, the Record reported. State Police Won't Give Up On 1969 Tuxedo Murder TUXEDO, N.Y. – It has been more than 48 years since state police discovered a body near Route 17 in Tuxedo, and Troopers are still on the hunt to identify the victim. The victim, still only known as John Doe, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head on Jan. 20, 1969.
