Teenagers Charged With Armed Home Invasion Robbery In Ocean County

A pair of teenagers has been arrested in connection with an armed home invasion robbery in Brick Township.

Police responded to Wilson Court about 4 p.m. Thursday on a report of a male subject wearing a ski mask, armed with a handgun, attempting to enter the home. 

The homeowner reported that upon confronting the teenage suspect, he ran to a waiting vehicle and entered as a passenger. 

The homeowner was able to provide a detailed description of their vehicle. 

Further investigation revealed that two suspects were attempting to rob a 16-year-old male who was leaving the residence.

With assistance from Point Pleasant Police, detectives were able to identify and arrest two 18-year-old suspects: David Lavroff of Toms River and James Clark of Brick Township.

Lavroff was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. 

Clark was charged with robbery. Clark's vehicle was seized by police.

Both are currently being held in the Ocean County Jail.
