Coast Guard Searches For Missing Boater, Pair Rescued By Point Pleasant Police (Developing) One boater remained missing and two others were rescued after a boat capsized in the rough waters of Manasquan Inlet, authorities said. The U.S. Coast Guard was using a helicopter out of Atlantic City and a C-130 cargo plane out of North Carolina to assist in the search off of Point Pleasant, the Coast Guard said on Friday, Sept. 15. A 47-foot motor lifeboat from Manasquan Inlet also was searching the waters. Jersey Shore Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident: Police A 24-year-old driver from Point Pleasant was arrested in connection with a road rage incident and fleeing Brick police, authorities said. Jonathan Weydig was arrested with the assistance of Point Pleasant police, according to Brick police. Weydig had six outstanding warrants and was charged with eluding officers, obstruction and hindering apprehension, police said. Weydig also was issued 12 motor vehicle summonses, they said. On May 12, Brick Street Crimes Unit detectives were traveling in an unmarked vehicle at Route 88 and Post Road when they observed a road rage incident, police said. …

Brick Man Charged With Making Fake Bomb Threats That Evacuated Jenkinson Boardwalk A 19-year-old Brick resident was charged with calling in the fake bomb threats that evacuated Jenkinson boardwalk earlier this month. Nkosi Jones called the main boardwalk office on June 3 and 4 reporting bomb threats that were later deemed unfounded, Point Pleasant police said. Jones was charged with two counts of false public alarm and two counts of terroristic threats. Asbury Park Teen ID'd, Charged With Shooting Near Brick High School An Asbury Park teenager has agreed to be prosecuted as an adult in last year's shooting outside an Ocean County high school, authorities said. Alonzo Legrande, who is now 18, was charged as an adult on Thursday with four counts of attempted murder and weapons charges, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Teenagers Charged With Armed Home Invasion Robbery In Ocean County A pair of teenagers has been arrested in connection with an armed home invasion robbery in Brick Township. Police responded to Wilson Court about 4 p.m. Thursday on a report of a male subject wearing a ski mask, armed with a handgun, attempting to enter the home.  The homeowner reported that upon confronting the teenage suspect, he ran to a waiting vehicle and entered as a passenger.  The homeowner was able to provide a detailed description of their vehicle.  Further investigation revealed that two suspects were attempting to rob a 16-year-old male who was leaving the …
