Woman Killed Crossing Busy Hudson Valley Roadway, Police Say A woman was killed after she was struck by a Jeep Wrangler crossing a busy roadway. The incident took place around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 in Dutchess County in the City of Beacon. The woman was crossing Main Street and Teller Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle, said Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson, of the City of Beacon Police. The woman was treated on the scene by the City of Beacon Fire Department and transported to St. Luke’s Hospital by Mobile Life.  She was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center where she died from her injuries, Johnson s…

15 Area Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops New York State Police troopers busted more than a dozen Hudson Valley motorists for allegedly driving while drunk on area roadways. 'Arrest Imminent,' Police Say After Area Stabbing Victim Hospitalized Beacon Police say an "investigation is ongoing and an arrest is imminent" after a victim was stabbed earlier this week. At around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, City of Beacon Police officers were dispatched to the area of 455 Main Street for a report of a man with a stab wound.  An investigation determined that the incident occurred further down on the East End of Main Street, police said. Cold Spring Man, 27, Charged In Beacon Armed Robbery Beacon police nabbed a 27-year-old man for an attempted armed robbery, according to the Beacon Police Department. Kenneth R. Place, of Cold Springs, was arrested around 10 a.m. Tuesday when the City of Beacon Police were called to 426 Main Street for a reported robbery with a gun, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson.
