CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Larry P. Michel, a longtime Cortlandt resident, died Jan. 3. He was 56.
Born Aug. 10, 1955, he was the son of August "Gus" and Ruth Michel. He attended Walter Panas High School in Cortlandt Manor. For over 18 years, Michel worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post office in Peekskill until retiring in 1995.
Michael was longtime member of the Lake Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department. He was passionate about music and movies, especially Disney.
He is survived by his parents, his brothers Stephen, Richard and Fred Michel and his sister Lynn Michel.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday at E.O. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon.
