New Covid-19 Testing Site Opens In Rockland: New Rundown Of Cases By Towns; Reopen Dashboard As a new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) testing site has opened in Spring Valley, Rockland County continues to see much fewer COVID-19 cases. According to numbers from the state Department of Health, there has been a total of 13,280 cases since the pandemic began with the highest number of cases located in Spring Valley with 2,897. Here Are Rockland's Primary Election Results There were several primary elections held across Rockland County on Tuesday, June 25.  Here's a rundown of the unofficial results in contested races, according to the county Board of Elections: District Attorney Retired Judge Thomas Walsh easily defeated three other candidates for the Democratic Party's nomination for District Attorney, giving Walsh three ballot lines in the Nov. 5 general election. Rockland Welcomes 155 New Americans During Naturalization Ceremony Rockland welcomed 155 new Americans on Friday, Feb. 2, during a touching Naturalization Ceremony at the Fire Training Center. Rockland County Executive Ed Day spoke during the ceremony about the importance of getting involved in the local community. Numerous local officials attended the ceremony, which was organized by Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato, who administered the Oath of Citizenship. The new citizens came from 43 different nations.
