Know Him? Man Wanted For Armed Hudson Valley Robbery Police are asking the public for help identifying an armed man wanted for allegedly robbing a convenience store. The robbery took place in Orange County around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 at the Stewart's Shop in the town of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Police, the man pressed an unknown black object into the back of the cashier and demanded cash and Newport cigarettes. He then fled in the direction of the Meadow Hill section of the town of Newburgh. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Sissia at 845-564-1100 or Msissia@townofnewburghpolice.org.

Distracted Driver Runs Over Convenience Store Worker's Foot In Hudson Valley, Police Say A maintenance worker was injured at a convenience shop after a distracted driver ran over his ankle and foot. The incident took place in Ulster County in Ellenville on Monday, June 6, at Stewart's Shop on Main Street. The man was maintaining gas tanks at the 99 S. Main St. station at about 2 p.m. when Nancy Crosby, age 66, of Kerhonkson, ran over his foot and ankle, causing scrapes, bruises, and facial cuts, village Police Chief Philip Mattracion said. An alert was issued by New York State Police investigators as they seek the public’s assistance in locating a 45-year-old man who has been reported missing for several days. New York State Police issued a statewide alert for Gabriel Dumore out of Harrisville, a hamlet and former village in Lewis County in the town of Diana. Man Nabbed With Drugs After Acting 'Suspiciously' In Area, Police Say A 32-year-old man was arrested after police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the parking lot of an area shop. Joshua Allen, of Albany, was arrested around 8:20 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, at Stewart’s Shop in Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph A. Sinagra said. Suspect Nabbed In Newburgh Stewart's Shop Armed Robbery An 18-year-old area resident was arrested for an alleged armed robbery at an area store. Micke C. Fields, of Clintondale, was arrested on Thursday by the Town of Newburgh Police and charged with an armed robbery that took place around 5:30 a.m. at the Stewart's Shop on Route 52 in Newburgh, said the Newburgh Police Department. He is being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.  The Town of Newburgh Police Department was assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the URGENT Task Force, and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
