The 23-year-old Nanuet man was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 13, after Ramapo Police responded to Route 17 for an unregistered dirt bike driving with no lights, police said. The unidentified man was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration and issued nine tickets and various moving and equipment violations. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Sloatsburg Village Court at a future date.

ID Released For 20-Year-Old Killed In Route 17 Crash New York State Police have identified the person killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 17 on Wednesday. Devon Persaud, 20, of Queens Village, died around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 on Route 17 near Exit 129 in Blooming Grove, said New York State Trooper Steve Nevel. Troopers found Persaud's 2007 Dodge Caliber down an embankment, state police said. There were no passengers in the vehicle.  The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
