Route 17 Traffic Stoppages Scheduled The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a series of upcoming traffic stoppages on Route 17. The Department says traffic stoppages are scheduled for Route 17 eastbound and westbound between Exit 127 (Route 17M) and Exit 131 (Route 17/32) in the Orange County village of Chester and the towns of Blooming Grove, Monroe and Woodbury. The stoppages will occur Monday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. while crews perform highway work permit work, weather permitting. Route 218 Single-Lane Closures Scheduled Lane closures are planned on Route 218 for several hours in Orange County. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that there will be single-lane closures in both directions on Route 218 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4 between Maple Avenue and Dock Hill Road in Cornwall-on-Hudson. The lane closures are scheduled to allow highway work permit activities, the NYSDOT, said. During the construction, motorists should expect delays in the area. Route 32 Closure Scheduled Route 32 Closure Scheduled
Route 32 Closure Scheduled A busy Ulster County roadway will be temporarily closed on Monday to allow highway work in Saugerties. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that Route 32 will be closed in the village between James Street and West Bridge Street. The closure is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28 while contracting crews perform highway work in the area, weather permitting. According to the NYSDOT, there will be a posted detour, and motorists can expect temporary delays in the area during the project.
