Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway. Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties. 22-Year-Old Driving Drunk Crashes Into Tree In Hudson Valley, Police Say A 22-year-old area man is in serious condition after losing control of his car and crashing into a tree while allegedly driving drunk. The incident occurred in Ulster County around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22 in Saugerties on the Glasco Turnpike. Investigating officers established that Brandon G Norton of Shokan was driving a 1998 Honda Civic when he failed to negotiate a crest on the roadway due to excessive speed, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra. Bicyclist Hit By Mercedes In Area Dies From His Injuries A bicyclist who was hit by a Mercedes-Benz earlier this month has died from his injuries. The unidentified 44-year-old New York City man who was hit around 12:38 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Ulster County at the intersection of Fish Creek Road and Patch Road in the Town of Saugerties, died on Friday, Nov. 20, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra. The victim was bicycling north on Fish Creek Road when he collided with a 1995 Mercedes, operated by 55-year-old Craig L.
