The Nyack Park Conservancy announced the park had received a $200,000 grant from the New NY Bridge Community Benefits Program to fund the replacement of the children's sprinklers.
"We chose this project last year because we feel that it is extremely important for children to have access to free recreation opportunities and a place to cool off in the summer," Chrissy Place, president of the Nyack Parks Conservancy said. "This is incredible news for Nyack."
The splash pad installation will add both an aesthetically pleasing and highly useful facility to the park, Place said.
Place said she hopes to unveil the sprinklers by Memorial Day 2018.
