The threat against both Albany High School and the Tony Clement Center for Education was called in to the Albany Police Department at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, according to a school statement.

Both buildings were placed in a lockout while police investigated, meaning students and staff were not allowed to enter or exit the campuses.

Police determined the threats were not credible and both buildings resumed normal security measures an hour later, officials said.

As a result of the incident, the start of the school day was delayed one hour.

“Thank you for your patience and support as our staff worked with the police department to investigate this matter in the best interests of the safety and security of everyone in our school community,” school officials said.

Albany Police are investigating the hoax call. No arrests have been made.
