In January, New York State Police began an investigation in Cortlandt, where there was an alleged fraudulent withdrawal of $8,000 from a local resident’s bank account. The investigation led police to Brooklyn resident Noralisa Diaz, 30, who allegedly illegally transferred the money between multiple bank accounts through several telephone transactions.
