A 37-year-old Northern Westchester man is facing charges for claiming he was shot at during a robbery over a stolen car that never happened, police said. At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, April 3, a man reported to the Yorktown Police Department that he was involved in an alleged motor vehicle crash on Strawberry Road in the area of Foothill Street in Mohegan Lake. Four people have been arrested, including two facing manslaughter charges, and two others face arrest warrants in connection with a fatal fire at a Rockland County home for elderly residents. Worker At Corporate Park In Westchester Admits To String Of Bomb Threats Causing Evacuations
A 22-year-old man has admitted to calling in several false bomb threats to a busy Westchester corporate park that led to multiple evacuations. David Prieto of White Plains pleaded guilty to four counts of false reporting, all felonies, for making false bomb threats against a Greenburgh building at 660 White Plains Road between Sept. 13 and Sept. 19 last year, forcing its evacuation four times.
