An Ossining man faces DWI charges after he was busted by Yorktown Police for allegedly causing a vehicle crash while driving drunk. Manuel Cochancela, 36, was arrested on Tuesday around 2:15 p.m. after a Yorktown police officer watched as he turned his red Ford truck erratically from Lee Road and collided with another vehicle on westbound Route 6, Yorktown Police said. A man driving drunk with a blood-alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit was arrested for his second DWI in Westchester, police said. New York State Police troopers stopped a vehicle on I-287 in Greenburgh shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, when the driver, Elmsford resident Alexander Ramos committed several vehicle and traffic violations. A Route 6 speeding stop led to an aggravated DWI charge for a Mahopac man who was driving with a blood alcohol content nearly triple the legal limit. A member of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on patrol shortly after midnight on Saturday, Dec. 8 stopped a vehicle on Route 6 in Carmel when it was spotted speeding in the area.
