Response Rally Scheduled Following Shooting Of Two In Poughkeepsie DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. --  Following a shooting of two people in the City of Poughkeepsie over the weekend, members of Family Services SNUG program will host a rally against violence Thursday on Main Street. The program, started earlier this year in response to gun violence in the city, is one of 13 across the state. Run by Danny Hairston, the program responds to every act of gun violence in the city in an effort to reduce shootings and save lives, he said. Funeral Scheduled For Ossining Resident Killed In Route 22 Crash Services for an Ossining man killed in a head-on crash on Monday in Putnam have been set for Thursday and Friday. Louis Arpi, 56, died as the result of trauma injuries he sustained in a head-on collision between the car he was driving and another vehicle on Route 22 near the intersection of Thunder Ridge Road in Patterson. A stretch of Route 202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) in Cortlandt has reopened after a serious three-car crash closed the roadway in both directions. The crash, which happened on a narrow stretch of road near the Overlook, occurred around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, said Trooper A.J. Hicks, spokesman for the department. Dispatchers report three injuries, none appear to be life-threatening "at this point," Hicks said.

Lyons, who is described as being 6-foot-2, 225 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, is wanted for stealing a cellphone and cash from a victim in Wappinger, police said. Man Seriously Injured In Fall While Trimming Trees In Tomkins Cove ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley man sustained serious internal injuries during a fall while cutting trees at a house in Tomkins Cove, according to the Stony Point Police. The accident took place around 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, at 664 N. Liberty Drive, Tomkins Cove, when the man fell from a ladder, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.
