Prior to that she worked at a chain of weekly newspapers on Long Island's North Shore and as a freelance writer for Yankees Magazine. She has a Master's Degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. When not working, she enjoys reading, running and spending as much time as possible with her husband and two sons.

Annual Parade Gets Ridgewood Baseball And Softball Season Started RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The sun came out just in time for baseball and softball fans to enjoy the RBSA's annual opening day parade Saturday. Ridgewood Baseball and Softball Association players and coaches marched down Ridgewood Avenue. The groups, decked out in full uniform and holding banners announcing their teams, walked from the train station to Veterans Field. Food trucks, a vendor pavilion, music, inflatables and carnival games awaited the players once they reached the field.
