Knock, Knock: Wild Turkey Pays A Visit To Ridgewood Home RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – A wild turkey tried to pay a Ridgewood family a visit Thursday morning but apparently was unable to reach the doorbell. The bird was spotted wandering around Ridgewood's east side before scampering up a walkway and to the family's front door. Wild turkeys are abundant statewide, with a population estimated from 20,000 to 23,000, according to the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Former Paramus K-Mart Becomes Bergen's Newest Sports Facility PARAMUS, N.J. – The former K-Mart on Route 17 South in Paramus has reopened as Bergen County's newest indoor sports training facility. The Arena is being advertised as the best lit indoor sports facility in the county. The 25,000-square-foot turf facility accommodates football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse and field hockey, according to the company's website.  The Arena is also available for any sport that can be played on turf. Fields are available for rent for training academies, teams and leagues.
