Dutchess County Legislature Passes 2016 Budget DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Legislature passed a 2016 budget, 19-4, Friday in a show of strong bipartisan support.  The $456.2 million budget passed with few amendments to Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro’s tentative county budget, which he proposed in October.  The budget cuts the property tax levy for the second consecutive year without a reduction in services or programs. Dutchess County Sheriff Investigates Death Of Pedestrian POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - A 48-year-old local man was struck and killed Saturday night on Spackenkill Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, the Dutchess County Sherrifs office reports.  The police are currently investigating the fatal accident involving a pedestrian identified as Randall Housey and a car being driven by Wappinger resident, 76-year-old Valentine Condon.  Police report that Housey was pronounced dead at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was brought following the accident.
