Northern Westchester Native Praised As 'Hard-Working' Registered Nurse Dies At Age 42
A Hudson Valley woman who died at the age of 42 is being remembered as a hard-working registered nurse. Dutchess County resident Jennifer Lynn Pinto, of Wappingers Falls, died at her home on Friday, Aug. 26, according to her obituary. She was born in Mount Kisco and graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls. She also graduated with a degree in nursing from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, her obituary said. A 22-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle on I-84 in the Hudson Valley is being remembered for his love of spending time with friends and family. Dutchess County resident Fabian Tirado, of Wappingers Falls, was one of the two men who were fatally struck by a vehicle on I-84 in the Putnam County town of Kent on Saturday, July 2, police reported. School districts in the Hudson Valley were forced to close as police investigated alleged threats made on social media. In Dutchess County, the Poughkeepsie City School District and Wappingers Central School District both closed certain schools on Tuesday, Feb. 22 due to purported threats that were made toward buildings on social media.
