U.S. Rep. John Faso, a Republican representing New York’s 19th Congressional District, which includes the mid-Hudson Valley is seen as vulnerable this year.
And now, Faso's campaign has resorted to racist attack ads calling Delgado a "big city rapper," according to multiple reports.
The district, encompassing 11 counties including Dutchess, has been represented by Republicans for eight years. However, voter registration is nearly equally split among the GOP, Democrats and unaffiliated voters.

Greenwich native Ryan Joseph McCormack, who died on Sept. 6, is being remembered as a popular friend at his college campus and in his hometown. He was 26 years old.
Ryan, who lived in Brooklyn, graduated with the Greenwich High School Class of 2010 and the College of Wooster Class of 2014, his obituary says. He was passionate about music and comedy.

Now, Bianca Muñiz is taking those experiences and putting them to music: The Sleepy Hollow resident -- and two-time cancer survivor -- has her first full-length album, "For You" set to debut in summer, 2018.
It's dedicated to her longtime friend, Miles Applebaum, who she met at Lagond Music School in Elmsford when they were 15-years-old, and who passed away in 2014.

Attorney Ari J. Diaconis of Armonk died on Monday, Jan. 29. He was 33.
He was born Oct.15, 1984 and graduated from University of Vermont, where he studied economics, philosophy and Afro-Cuban percussion.
