This County In Region Now Leads State In Job Growth, Report Says
Those looking for work would do well to check out one New York county above all others. Sullivan County is leading the entire state - even New York City - in job growth, according to a new report from the state Department of Labor. Private-sector job growth in Sullivan County grew 9.1 percent year-over-year for September 2022, the report found. Amazon To Open Operations Facility In Hudson Valley, Creating Hundreds Of Jobs
Hundreds of jobs are coming to the Hudson Valley as Amazon prepares for its latest venture in New York. This week, Amazon announced that it plans to launch a state-of-the-art operations facility in Orange County in Montgomery in time for the 2021 holiday season, generating more than 800 full-time jobs. White Plains Hospital is poised to break ground on a $272 million expansion project. On Monday, April 22, the hospital will host a groundbreaking ceremony on its new 252,000-square-foot, nine-story Outpatient Care Center that will be constructed at the corner of Maple and Longview avenues, next to the Center for Cancer Care.
