Details Released After Crash With Injuries Causes I-84 Closure
New details have been released after a two-vehicle crash that closed I-84 for more than an hour sent two to the hospital for treatment.
The crash took place around 10:26 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in the town of Southeast, when a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo driven by Bubacarr Dukureh, 55, of the Bronx, was traveling westbound when he was either stopped or coming to a stop in the lane, and was hit in the rear by a 2019 Dodge Ram van, driven by Christopher J. Saas, 50, of Patterson, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.

A 16-year-old girl jumped to her death from the fifth floor of the Danbury Fair Mall parking garage Saturday afternoon.
The teen, identified as Danbury High School student Hailey Nailor, had reportedly contemplated her decision to jump or not while on Snapchat. She, unfortunately, decided to jump.
"It's really a tragedy," said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. "We are investigating, but it appears to be a suicide."

State police have arrested a man for DWAI for driving in the wrong direction on Interstate 84, causing a head-on crash that injured three on Wednesday in Putnam County.
Christopher S. Franz, 45, of Broomall, Pennsylvania, was arrested for driving while impaired by drugs, following the crash that took place around 8:20 a.m. Jan. 2 at the I-84 Exit 19 off-ramp onto Route 312 (Southeast), said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.
