A man faces a weapons charge after attempting to bring a loaded handgun and several magazines on a flight at Westchester County Airport, authorities said. The incident happened on Sunday, April 2, when a Florida man entered the airport's security checkpoint and the X-ray unit alerted Transportation Security Administration officers to inspect his carry-on bag. Northern Westchester Resident Nabbed With Gun In Carry-On At Airport, Officials Say
A Westchester County man was caught with a loaded handgun in his carry-on baggage at an area airport. The Peekskill resident was stopped in White Plains at the Westchester County Airport by Transportation Security Administration officers. According to the TSA, the man was carrying a .38 caliber revolver loaded with five bullets.
