Immigration Detention Topic At Teaneck Lunch And Learn
TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Section of the National Council of Jewish Women will discuss immigration detention at a Dec. 15 luncheon, “Lunch and Learn, Nourishing Hearts and Minds.”
Sally Pillay, an activist for immigration rights, is the presenter for the program, “Immigration Detention: Unjust and Immoral.” The goal is to give participants an understanding of immigration detention in New Jersey, and nationally, and will learn how to get involved.
The luncheon will be held in Temple Emeth, 1666 Windsor Rd., Teaneck at noon Dec. 15. Tickets are $18 for members and $23 for non members. For …

The positions include various attorneys, engineers, planners, and grant consultant.
Applications for Rent Leveling Board attorney and grant consulting services must be submitted no later than 4 p.m. Dec. 16.

Players Guild Of Leonia Hosts Open Auditions: 'I Never Sang For My Father'
LEONIA, N.J. -- The Players Guild of Leonia will hold open auditions for Robert Anderson’s classic play, “I Never Sang for My Father,” Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Dec. 6 - 8.
All auditions will be held in the home of the Players Guild,The Civil War Drill Hall Theatre, at 130 Grand Ave., before director Claudia MacDermott.
The Guild was recently named the Best Place in New Jersey for Non-Equity Theatre by New Jersey Stage.
There will be nine performances of the play over three weekends, from March 4 -- 20, 2016.

Puerto Rican Band LP21 To Perform At Teaneck's Puffin Cultural Forum
TEANECK, N.J. -- The Grammy-nominated LP21 Band, or "Los Pleneros 21," will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck.
Their program captures the Puerto Rican spirit of the holidays with a live performance of traditional and contemporary bomba and plena songs interlaced with celebratory "parranda" songs.
