RYE, N.Y. - The Rye Recreation Department, in conjunction with coaches Emily Fitzgerald and Amanda Massaro, will hold a field hockey camp for children entering fifth through eighth grade in September 2011. Fitzgerald is the Rye High School varsity field hockey coach.
The camp will be held at the Rye Country Day School's turf field -- rain or shine -- August 1 - 4 from 6-7:30pm each evening. The fee is $100 for Rye Residents and $125 for non-Residents.
Participants must have their own field Hockey sticks, shin and mouth guards, eye goggles, cleats, and a water bottle. Skills and activities covered will be offensive and defensive skills, small sided games/ instruction, special situations, and ultimately games and scrimmages.
