Picked to serve this spring are: Allison Bohm, of Hastings-on-Hudson in Westchester, a student at Ohio State University; and Rebecca Blair, of Nyack in Rockland, a student at the University of Nevada.

According to the White House’s press office, the mission of the internship program “is to make the White House accessible to future leaders around the nation and to prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities.”

Interns get to gain valuable professional experience and build their leadership skills, the White House said.

They work in one of several departments, including the Domestic Policy Council, the National Economic Council, the Office of Cabinet Affairs, the Office of Communications, the Office of Digital Strategy, and the Office of the First Lady.
