ARMONK, N.Y. - Buildings throughout the Byram Hills Central School District entered into lockout protocol on Thursday following a concerning email from a parent.
Schools Superintendent Jen Lamia said that the district received an email forwarded from a parent regarding a potential concern in an undisclosed district building, prompting the precautionary lock-out.
All buildings in the district were in lock-out for less than an hour, from approximately 10:45 a.m. to 11:25 p.m. while the North Castle Police Department investigated the concern. During a lock-out, the buildings operate normally, but visitors are not permitted to leave the building.
Police said that there was no threat, and classes have continued normally.
