Police responded to the area of Intervale Avenue and found a tent and a mattress in a wooded area behind the complainant’s property.

The camp will be removed by crews from the town's Parks and Recreation Department, police said, adding that patrols will continue to monitor the area.

Police were also called to the La Quinta, an inn on Business Park Drive, where, they said, a guest was suffering a medical incident.

The hotel called police after a guest, who had stayed past her 12 noon checkout time, stopped answering reminder calls from the front desk.

Police found the woman in distress and called an ambulance. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital.

Further details were not available at press time.
