Man Allegedly Tried to Enter Occupied ATM Lobby

 NORTH WHITE PlAINS, N.Y. – A caller reported to the North Castle Police Department that while using an ATM Monday night at 674 North Broadway in North White Plains a man tried to break into the ATM lobby by pulling on the doors, but was unsuccessful.

After the man’s unsuccessful attempt, he began walking toward the Stop and Shop supermarket, according to the caller, who also described the man as a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

North Castle Police Officer Kevin Finateri and Sergeant Robert Ferrara responded to the incident and Finateri spoke to a construction worker who said he saw someone walking in the area about 10 minutes earlier that fit the description.

The surrounding area was searched but Finateri and Ferrara did not find the suspect.
