After arriving in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, the Pope is expected to visit the White House the following morning before celebrating Mass at Washington’s Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
He would then leave for New York City on the afternoon of the Thursday, Sept. 24. He is tentatively scheduled to visit the U.N. General Assembly in Manhattan on the morning of Friday, Sept. 25, followed by the visit to St. Patrick's Cathedral. Mass has been proposed for another area of the city (possibly Madison Square Garden), plus a possible visit to Ground Zero, according to the report.
The Pope will be in the U.S. from Sept. 22-Sept. 27.
