Arden to be Sworn in as North Castle Supervisor

Howard Arden will be sworn in as North Castle's supervisor at a Town Board meeting scheduled for 5p.m. Tuesday.

Stephen D'Angelo and Michael Schiliro will be sworn in as a town board members at the ceremony, which will be held at the Town Hall. D'Angelo is newly elected and Schiliro was re-elected.

Arden defeated Supervisor William Weaver by a comfortable margin after winning the Republican primary in September by a 13 vote margin. Weaver, a Republican, was forced to run on the Alliance Party, which was created by Republicans, Democrats and Independents.

Arden said his main priorities at the outset of his term will be to settle the Armonk supermarket issue, oversee the signing of new union contracts, arrange for brush pick up and coordinate town staffing, which includes naming a town administrator, a post he is creating.
