Westchester's Jeffrey Tambor Wins SAG Award

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Cross River resident Jeffrey Tambor won the Actor for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy series for his role as Maura Pfefferman on the Amazon series, "Transparent."

Accepting the award, Tambor said Maura, a transgender woman, is "very entitled and wealthy."

“I’d just like to dedicate this award to the non-Maura Pfeffermans, who don’t have a lot of cash, for their operations, for their medicine, for their freedom,” said Tambor at the Saturday awards in Los Angeles.
