Woodland Park Dance Brings Seniors Together
WOODLAND PARK, N.J. — The annual Woodland Park Valentine's Day dance for seniors means celebrating decades of love for some couples, but it could bring opportunity for singles as well.
"You never know, you could meet somebody," said Kelly Spinalli of the recreation department, sponsoring the event.
Around 100 people attend the free dance each year, which will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the senior center.
More woman attend than men, Spinalli said. Last year a couple celebrated their 50th anniversary together at the dance, she said.

Passaic Girl, 3, Hospitalized From Exhaust Fumes Dies
PASSAIC, N.J. — A 3-year-old Passaic girl whose mother and brother were killed by exhaust that backed into their car during Winter Storm Jonas died Wednesday afternoon, authorities told Daily Voice.
Saniyah Bonilla, 3, died at 3:10 p.m. at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Passaic Detective Andy White said. Her brother Messiah Bonilla, 1, and mother Sashalynn Rosa, died Saturday.
"The whole city of Passaic was praying for this little girl to get better," White told Daily Voice. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family during this difficult time."

Passaic Volunteers Only Phone Call Away
PASSAIC, N.J. — When there's a flat tire, a car stuck in snow, or someone in need of help, members of the Passaic Chaverim will be there.
The Jewish volunteer group, formed in Passaic in 2009, goes out on the road to help people with non-medical emergencies.
"The word [Chaverim] is Hebrew for friend," member Shaya Eisenman said. "Anything you would call your friend for, you can call us."
Around 25 members actively hit the road when needed, Eisenman, the coordinator of member services and communication, said. They always accept new members so keep expanding, though.
