Shooting Shuts Wawa In Elizabeth (Photos)

A Wawa store in Elizabeth was closed for a shooting investigation Saturday, April 22.

A man was shot in the knee after a fight broke out inside of the Spring Street store around 4:45 a.m., Elizabeth police spokeswoman Ruby Contreras said.

He was uncooperative but stable at University Hospital, Contreras said.

There were no other victims.

The suspect fled and store was closed for investigation.
