Child Hospitalized After Being Hit By Vehicle In Roselle Park

A 10-year-old was alert after being hit by a vehicle Monday morning in Roselle Park, police said.

The child was hit around 8:10 a.m. while crossing the street at 260 E. Westfield Avenue. The driver, who was traveling east, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

The child was taken to University Hospital in Newark with leg and head injuries.

Roselle Park Police Chief Daniel J. McCaffery is asking for any witnesses or anyone with additional information to call police at ‪908-245-2300‬.
