Mercy Killing? South Jersey Man May Have Killed Wife To End Suffering, Prosecutor Says An 84-year-old South Jersey man who said his wife was suffering and "in poor health" stabbed her to death, authorities said. Dan Mook, who is accused of fatally stabbing his 82-year-old wife, turned the knife on himself afterward, but survived, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Mount Laurel Police Chief Stephen Riedener. Authorities are calling it a possible "mercy killing." Mook, 84, of Mount Laurel, was charged with murder and weapons offenses, Coffina and Riedener said. Details Released In NJ Stabbing Death Of Animal Lover & Beloved 'Guard Dog' A 25-year-old Evesham man was arrested in the deadly stabbing of a 26-year-old man and his beloved dog "Django" after showing up to an emergency room for treatment early Saturday, Feb. 5, authorities said. Donovan G. Hollingsworth and the victim, Thomas Pierson III, got into a fight at a residence in the Olympus Apartments on Baker Boulevard around 9:15 a.m., Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. A flight to Haiti, computer, luxury watches and electronics were among the credit card purchases made by Willie Garcon, 49, of New York Avenue in Brooklyn, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said Friday.
