Ramsey Resident ID'd As Pedestrian Killed By Train (Update) Officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Monday, Dec. 16. John Redinger, 62, of Ramsey, was struck by Train No. 56 on the Port Jervis Line east of the Ramsey station around 9:15 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said.  The train, which departed Port Jervis at 7:39 a.m., was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 9:52 a.m.  There were no injuries reported to the approximately 10 customers and crew on board. Tameko Joseph, 42, of Hackensack, was struck by Bergen County Line train 1154 near the Garfield Station, near Outwater Lane, just before 7:50 a.m., a spokesperson for the agency said. The train had left Suffern, N.Y. at 7:09 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 8:14 a.m. There were no reported injuries to the 600 customers or crew on board.
