Racing Paramus Motorcyclist, 29, Killed In NY Crash, State Police Say
A 29-year-old Paramus man died while racing his motorcycle on I-87 in Westchester County, NY, authorities said. Frank Mahouti was heading northbound on a 2018 Ducati near mile marker 3.5 in Yonkers when he failed to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed around 1 a.m. Aug. 13, NY State Trooper Tara McCormick said. The Ducati struck the guide rail on the east shoulder, ejecting Mahouti from his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Westchester County Medical Examiner. A motorcyclist died in a fiery crash in Elizabeth Tuesday night. The rider was speeding when he hit a concrete median, ejecting him around 11:40 p.m. at 1170 Spring St. (Route 1&9), City Spokeswoman Kelly A. Martins said. The rider was then run over by another driver, Martins said. Police performed CPR on the victim, who had been ejected from his bike while riding southbound, sources said. Responders found the Montvale resident in cardiac arrest, bleeding from a traumatic head wound, in the northbound lane of Chestnut Ridge Road a little more than 50 yards from the border, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. An 83-year-old Wayne accountant was struck and killed as he crossed a township road Tuesday night, authorities confirmed. Stuart Kahlenberg, a practicing CPA, was struck around 6:40 p.m. while crossing Hamburg Turnpike near Mountain Ridge Drive, they said. Two Dead In Fiery Mountainside Crash
A man and woman died early Sunday morning when their car struck a tree and caught fire on Route 22 in Mountainside, authorities said. The man was was speeding when his car hit a tree in the center median of the highway near the Garden State Parkway intersection around 4 a.m., police said. The car caught fire immediately and trapped the driver -- his female passenger was thrown from the vehicle. Both victims died at the scene, authorities said. West New York Man, 22, Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Turnpike In Secaucus
A West New York man was killed when he struck a guardrail on the New Jersey Turnpike with his motorcycle Saturday, State Police said. Agustin G. Amendola, 22, was leaving the Turnpike at Exit 16E in Secaucus around 10:40 a.m. when he hit the guardrail and was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In a tragic coincidence, he is one of two young men killed on the Turnpike Saturday from Hudson County. A North Bergen man, also aged 22, died in a crash in Burlington County later that day.

Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With Car On Route 20 In Paterson
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a sedan on southbound Route 20 in Paterson early Saturday evening, authorities said. Miguel Soto, 30, of Paterson was pronounced dead a half hour after his 2008 Honda CBR made contact with a 2008 Acura MDX driven by a 70-year-old Wayne man and spun out near Park Avenue, authorities said Sunday.
