A drunken and unlicensed driver, and the owner of the truck he was driving, have both been arrested following a boardwalk crash in one Jersey Shore town, authorities said. Julian Uribe Munoz, 39, of Spring Lake, was behind the wheel of 28-year-old's Marvin Cruz-Palma Ford pickup truck when he left the roadway and crashed it on an Ocean Avenue boardwalk around 12:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, Spring Lake Police Chief Edward Kerr said. There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, June 9, Mega Millions drawing. The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize. Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train At Jersey Shore
A male was fatally struck by a train over the weekend at the Jersey Shore, NJ Transit officials confirmed. The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train just before stopping in Spring Lake around 3 a.m. Sunday, June 4, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. None of the eight people on board train No. 4795 were injured. The train had departed Long Branch at 2:42 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 3:22 a.m.

Nearly 50 Canada geese were hauled off in a truck and killed by a wildlife management company on the Jersey Shore to control the population, according to reports and wildlife officials. Beach passes for the 2021 season are already sold out for one Jersey Shore town. The 5,500 passes that were allotted for this year were on sale for $110 in December, NJ.com reports. Several bull shark sightings were reported in the Navesink River in Central Jersey, local police said. People reported seeing the shark in the area of the river near Navesink Avenue, Rumson police said Thursday. The search for a 15-year-old boy who was swept away Sunday while swimming with his sister on the Jersey Shore has been postponed until Monday morning, authorities said.
